Elmer`s Family Restaurant in El Paso

The pictures drove me in--> but the taste! has me returning soon. Every dish we tried was delicious!! Pictures of dishes we tried were already uploaded by previous customers. Just, OMG and Wow is all we said. The Pie alone, is to die for (per say) we tried the cheese cake and coconut cream pie. Plus! I placed a large order to go. Let me say that, that chocolate cream pie is getting it! On my next visit. Thx!!! My regards to the Chef.

Fantastic food, great service. Ordered the 4 piece fried chicken and it didn't survive long enough to take a picture. If you're looking for a great, old-school diner, this is it. Will absolutely be going back.

Elmer's, let's be honest the name doesn't exactly draw you in. However I continue to return here to get decent food at a fare price . The buffet has fried catfish, fried chicken, enchiladas ext. None of this is fantastic, but I've paid allot more at other restaurants for food that I wouldn't go back for. Don't let the name fool you, and give it a try.

Nice family run restaurant. We had dinner there, food was basic and good. Staff was very friendly. clientele seemed to be mostly regulars. Not busy. Clearly a very popular breakfast place and dinner is available just because. Prices are quite reasonable. We ordered a lot and it was $30 for 2. Recommended for any time for a relaxing place

This is how you run a restaurant. Hardy and delicious breakfast. My coffee never got cold and the cup never got to empty.

The fried chicken was very juicy and crispy. The only drawback was with the service, the waitress never came to the table and asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. She only came to the table after we finished our meal to bring the check.

Sat down at 1050 and got out breakfast at 1152. Food was bland and our server didn't even check on us. I had to get up and ask for our check bc she was serving other tables in a different section. Was not happy at all.

This place is old school, older restaurant that seems like that haven't updated the decor. But the food was good (had the fried chicken). Wanted to try this place after we couldn't figure out what we want and decided to try this, and with that we found a new spot

Looking for some good hearty breakfast? This is your spot. They also offer a buffet....with menudo. Good coffee great service and its good for big or small family gatherings. Its vintage look inside takes you back in time.... if your from El Paso you'll know it was opened a long time ago ....it has stood the test of time no dought to it being so great. You can even just go for coffee and pie. Enjoy!

Good food and nice staff, but they are closed now.

Mediocre at best. I ordered pancakes and they took forever. They brought back a plate that was barely warm and the pancakes tasted like maza and not pancake batter. I can live without coming back here ever again.

Breakfast was good. The service was quick and the people tending were amicable. It has an old diner feel to it, but in a good way. Wouldn't mind heading back to try their lunches next time.

Great food and service. Lunchtime buffet and an expansive menu of traditional comfort food.

The last and only time my sister ate there was a big wide of hair in her food. When told to the staff ,they didn't believe her.This happen a while ago.

Best chicken in town

This is one of my favorite places in El Paso to go and eat. It's prices are very reasonable and the food is incredible. The fried chicken is the best I've ever had and you can't go wrong by coming here for breakfast.

This place is fantastic! One if El Pasos gems. I love how it's the same from when I was a kid.

This restaurant reminds me more of an old fashion diner. They have everything on the menu from Philly cheese steaks to fried chicken to Mexican food . Great prices and great staff.

Great diner in El Paso, feels like the old days. Nice and clean. Waitress nice and warm. They serve breakfast all day, Mexican food, burgers, sandwiches and even steak and shrimp.

My kind of place. Old school diner great breakfast sweet waitress. I miss these throw back diners.Had juevos rancheros, good stuff.

Meh food. Horrible service. Took about 30 minutes for our food to come out even with a less than half full dinner. And it took the waitress 20 minutes to bring me my drink becuas she forgot. Then I finish my drink and I ask for water and she serves it in the same cup. Don't come here find another place

WORST food ever I have taste in my entire life n the service was terrible about the place is really old with bad broken bathroom n super big bill to pay ever

Stopped in for late breakfast buffet. Everything I tried was great, especially the bacon! Oldies music playing really gave the place a nice atmosphere.

I love snacking here. Really nothing but enjoyable experiences here, I'll be back. The bill was well within reason for the quality.

Classic diner inside and out. I've been coming here since 1988 when I joined the Army. $1.99 breakfast special, daily buffet, and a menu that should cover whatever you crave that day. Nothing fancy, just plain good food.

The staff are very friendly and your waitress is always checking on you . The food is awesome , daily breakfast ,lunch specials, also buffet. You don't want to miss out on this well known restraunt.

Don't know how they make the fried chicken but it's the greatest.

Oh wow! The fried chicken is the best in town. We ordered 100 pieces for a luncheon and it was ready on time, hot and delicious.

A very old school, classic diner atmosphere. My family has been eating here for years. Honestly, the only plate that's really good is the fried chicken special. It's three pieces of chicken, coleslaw, and mashed potatoes. It's about $6. I had the chimichangas but they were not too good. The flan though, the flan IS INCREDIBLE.

just ate there. it made me feel sick. I had the sorriest chicken and waffles I've ever seen. The chicken was just greasy small nuggets that felt like they were sloppily fried after they picked them up from the Frozen foods section of walmart. the waffle and fries and coffee were pretty bad, too. My friend didn't like his plate either. It's genuinely ruining my plans at the moment.

Very good fried chicken

You can tell this place has been around for a long time. It's like going back in time or stopping at a classic dinner in a small town. The food was pretty good, to my girlfriend's surprise. My son was more than happy with his bacon and pancakes, they were very large sized pancakes. My girlfriend is very picky about her eggs and usually has to send them back at most places but there was no problem here. I tried an open face burger with their famous chili beans and it was very good. I will be interested in stopping by again and maybe even getting some dessert cause the pies looked delicious!

Visiting from Dallas (born/raised in EP). Food is still tasty. Big portion so got to take some home!!

Great Fried Chicken with crispy coating and very juicy meat. Not greasy like the fast food places. Very reasonable prices. Not knowing the portion sizes I had the salad bar as well, will pass on salad bar next trip as portions were beyond filling.
